Chicago Bridal Hair and Makeup Artist: Diem Angie Co.
This summer, our team has been in full wedding season mode. An updo here, a glam cut crease there, and a ton of laughter and memories with our bridal parties. To change up the pace, I had the opportunity with another artist on my team, Jen, to represent Diem Angie Co and be a part of Macy’s Get Ready event at the Oakbrook Shopping Center on September 23rd.
When our team was booked for the event to apply false eyelashes on the attendees, I couldn’t help but to think that this event sounded really familiar. Then – I recognized a familiar face: Shai Chung, a fashion and lifestyle blogger from Drunk on Shoes, was hosting the event! Shai is actually one of my boyfriend’s best friends, and this was her second year hosting the event with Macy’s. You go boss babe!
It’s crazy how small the fashion and beauty industry is, and it’s so great to see a familiar face like Shai just out there slaying and building her business. She was a class A showstopper, really kept the attendees engaged, and even put together some goody bags for those who visited her! (Can we just say that we also felt personally proud that she’s out there representing the cute petite Asian girls? Yes girl!).
Thank you, Macy’s for letting us glam your attendees with fluttery lashes! We were so happy and touched that a small addition really excited people and piqued their curiosity not only for makeup, but to treat themselves and feel more confident.
To put it in a fun millennial way, this event was definitely #girlpowergoals, and we are living for it!
Here a few behind the scene photos!
